STILL

I lay in bed and sit in silence as thoughts start to emerge. Life. Family. The present. The past. I can’t express them in words.

I’ve never been afraid of silence. It’s simply a facet of this life. There’s something stirring deep within, that has no monetary price.

I love who I am becoming, but when does one become? Is it a series of victories we conquer by claiming them one by one?

There is no hole in my soul for any thing I’ve lost. What laid me down became a crown, each jewel adorned from a cost.
